UNIT 7: YOUR HOUSE
 LESSON 1: A - IS YOUR HOUSE BIG? (A 1)
I. Objectives: 
1. Educational aim: Educate students to love their house.
2. Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to describe objects, they can ask and answer and talk about the things around the house.
II. Preparations: Pictures for presentation, practice and production; handouts.
III. Procedures:

1. Warm up:
* Task 1: Matching
- Hang on a picture of a house. Ask Ss to name the things around the house. 
- Give feedback.
* Task 2: Describing
- Ask Ss to describe the house.
- Get feedback and introduce the topic.
2. Pre - reading: 
* Task 1: Presenting vocabulary:
- Use the pictures to introduce the new words.
+ old (adj) -> using the picture
+ new (adj) -> using the picture
- Have sts repeat -> read -> copy down.
* Task 2: Listening and c...5. Is there a lake behind the house?
6. Are there any flowers on the left of the house?
9. Are there any trees in front of the house?

- Get feedback and inform the winner team.
4. Production: 
* Task 1: Writing a paragraph about your house or your favorite house in groups
- Have sts write a paragraph about your house or your favorite house using the cues given.
* Some adjectives are used to describe a house: big/ small/ old/ new/ beautiful.
* Some nouns/ things are used to describe around a house: yard/ well/ lake/ flowers/ river/ trees/ mountains/ rice paddy/ coffee garden/ vegetable garden/ swimming pool, 
* Some prepositions of position are used to describe a house: in front of/ behind/ on the left of/ on the right of/ next to/ near/ between,  
- Ask the other groups to give the comments about your group’s writing.
- Make correction.
* Task 2: Talking about your house or your favorite house:
- Ask them to describe their house.
+ Check some Ss
- Ask the rest of the sts to ask questions at the form of Yes – No Questions about their friend’s house.
- Give feedback.
* Task 3: Completing the dialouge:
- Have sts look at the picture and complete the dialogue.
