 UNIT 10. WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY?
 Lesson 1 (3, 4, 5)
I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Read and complete the exchanges, using the pictures. 
- Sing the song Where were you yesterday?
- Sentence Patterns: Revision
- Vocabulary: Revision
2. Skills:
- Listening, reading and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality: 
- Love English
- United friend
4. Forming competence:
- To know talk about where you were.
- Practise in pairs
II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present.... 
III. Preparation.
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette, projector
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.
IV. Procedures.

 A. Warm up - Ask S to tell what their family E.g: My mother is 
 (5’) members are doing now. working in the hospital

 B. New lesson Task 1. Listen and tick
 (30’) - Tell Ss that they are going to listen to 
 three dialogues about where the 
 characters were and tick the correct 
 pictures
 - Have them look at the pictures, - Listen and tick the 
 identify the similarities and differences correct answers
 - Play the recording for S to listen and Key: 1c 2b 3a
 do the task
 - Get them to swap the answers
 Task 2. Look and write
 - Tell Ss that they are going to 
 complete the sentences about where 
 the characters were - Have them look at the questions and Key: 1 at home/ in the 
 discuss the missing words they need to kitchen
 fill 2 in the library/ at school
 - Give them time to do the task 3 on the beach
 independently
 - Get S to swap the answers
 Task 3. Let’s sing
 - Tell S that they are going to sing the 
 song Where were you yesterday?
 - Have them read each line of the - Read the lyrics
 lyrics aloud
 - Play the recording all the way -Listen and repeat
 through for S to listen and repeat
 - Play the recording again for S sing - Learn to sing the song
 along with the recording
 - Divide the class into two groups: one - Sing 
 sings the questions and the other sings 
 the answers. The rest of the class sings 
 the song together, clapping hands 
 C. Production - In this lesson, S have learnt about - Listen and take note
 (3’) past activities and asking- answering 
 D. Homework Where were you yesterday?
 (2’) - Practice singing the song at home

 UNIT 10. WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY?
 Lesson 2 (1, 2, 3)
I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past.
- Sentence Patterns: What did you do yesterday? − I ___.
- Vocabulary: played badminton, painted a picture, watered the flowers
2. Skills:
- Listening and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality: 
- Love their class
- United friend
4. Forming competence:
- To know talk about their class
- Practise in pairs II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, 
teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by 
practising, discussion group, technical present....
III. Preparation.

- Ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past, using: What did you 
do yesterday? I +verb-ed.
- Listen and number the pictures in the correct order. 
- Read and complete the conversations, using the pictures.
- Play the game Pelmanism.
- Sentence Patterns: Revision
- Vocabulary: Revision
2. Skills:
- Listening, reading and speaking.
3. Attitudes/ Quality: 
- Love English
- United friend
4. Forming competence:
- To know talk about their class
- Practise in pairs

 Task 2. Listen and number
 - Tell Ss that they are going to listen to - Listen
 four dialogues about where Linda was 
 and what she did and number the pictures
 - Have them look at the pictures to - Identify 4 pictures

 - Play in groups: one S selects two cards, 
 if the cards show the same activities, he

I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Pronounce the final ed in played, watched, and painted. 
- Listen and tick the boxes showing the correct sounds of the final ed of the verbs in 
the sentences. Then say the sentences aloud.
- Say the chant What did he do yesterday?
- Sentence Patterns: Revision
- Vocabulary: Revision
2. Skills:
- Develop Ss listening, speaking and reading skills, do exercises in book. 
3. Attitudes/ Quality: 
- Confident when talking English
- United friend
4.Forming competence:
- Know how to practise some sounds
- Practise in pairs II. Methods:
