 1. Identify the situations for a conversation between Mai, Nam and Trung. 
 2 . Ask and answer question about someone’s address,using What’s your 
address? It’s ..
 3. Ask and answer question about someone’s address, using:
 Where are you from? I’m from....
 What’s your address? It’s ..
 Where do you live? I live........
 4. identify specific information about address informations through listening 
conversation.
 5. read a missing paragraph anout Trung’s address then complete it. 
 6. perform a song “The Wheels on the bus” in interesting way, using 
appropriate and meaningful gestures;
 7. show great pride in their address, hometown with positive impacts and 
respect for their address, hometown by using appropriate gestures and intonation in 
communication.

 STAGE 3: LEARNING EXPERIENCES / LEARNING PLAN
 Activity 1: Warmer: Greeting and song
 - Greet Ss. Then get the class to sing the song Where do you live? from the 
following link. 
 - Elicit ways of asking and answering about someone’s address and lead students 
to the new lesson.
 Activity 2: Language input (Act 1: Look, listen and repeat.)
 - Show students the situational pictures and ask the following questions to help 
them understand the communication situations in each picture.
 1. Who are they? (Nam, Mai and Trung)
 2. Where are they? (at school)
 3. Look at the picture a. Are there new friends? (Yes. They are)
 4. Where is Trang from? (DaNang)
 5. Does Trung live in Da Nang? (No)
 7. What are they doing? (Talking about their address) 
 - Have students look at the book, listen, and repeat the lines in the pictures 
twice.
 - Point at the pictures a, b, c, and d respectively to present the story. Explain 
what each character says. Check comprehension and give constructive feedback.
 - Play Track 1 (Activity 1), point at each speech bubble for Ss to listen and 
repeat the sentence(s) twice. - Point at each bubble for Ss to read the sentence(s). 
 - Elicit the sentence patterns “What’s your address? It’s ..” from the 
conversation, explain the meaning and use of the sentence patterns. 
 Activity 3: Controlled and guided practice. Point and say.
 - Use 4 pictures in activity 2 on page 6 to elicit the four address words: Lane, 
Village, Road, Street, Tower, flat, address
 - Point to the first picture and model the task with one student, using the 
expressions in the bubbles and the words under the picture. 
 - Show a picture and say “What’s your address?” 
 - Elicit the answer from Ss “It’s 105, Hoa Binh Lane.”.
 - Ask students to say the phrases chorally and individually. Repeat the same 
procedure with the other pictures. 
 - Ask students to practice in pairs, using the prompts in the bubbles and the 
pictures. 
 - Call on some pairs to role-play the dialogue in front of the class. Monitor 
the activity and offer help if necessary. 
 Activity 4: Controlled and guided practice
 Task 2: Guided practice (information gap activity) 
 - Present the activity. Ask Ss’ to work in groups of 4. Remind Ss to greet each 
other, ask and answer about their address, hometown, using 
 Where are you from? I’m from....
 What’s your address? It’s ..
 Where do you live? I live........
 - Give a model first and then ask students to do the activity in groups of 4.
 Model
 T: Hello, I’m Loan, I’m from Ha Tinh, It’s Phan Dinh Linh Street, Xuan An 
Town.
 Where are you from? What’s your address? Where do you live? 
 S1: answer then ask in turn 
 - Have students ask and answer their group members in 5 minutes
 - Call on one student from each group to report their address and hometown.
 - Give constructive feedback and comments on the reports and correct Ss’ 
mistakes if necessary.
 Activity 5: Listening practice. (Act 4: Listen and complete.)
 - Present the activity. Then tell Ss to look at the pictures, pay attention to 
someone’s address at page 7. 
 - Elicit names of the activities from given pictures. - Play Track 3 for Ss to do the task (listen and complete the missing sentences).
 - Get Ss to check their answers with their partners before giving the key.
 - Make some questions to check Ss’ comprehension

 Activity 6: Reading & writing practice 
 Controlled practice (Act 5: Read and complete.)
 - Present the activity. Ask Ss to look at the poster and complete the gap in a 
paragraph. 
 - Elicit: How many give words are there? How many missing gaps are there?
 - Set time for Ss to do the task.
 - Check and give feedback on their answers.
 - Have the class read the completed paragraph aloud.

 Activity 7: Song practice (Act 6: Let’s sing.)
 - Present the song The Wheels on the bus. Get Ss to read the lyrics in silence, 
check comprehension and give feedback.
 - Play Track 4 for Ss to repeat each line twice. 
 - Show Ss how to mime the song.
 - Get Ss to practise singing and miming the song in groups.
 - Call on two groups to perform the song. Encourage them to perform the song 
with appropriate and meaningful gestures.
 Activity 8: Wrap-up & Assignments
 - Ask students to answer the following questions: 
 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 (Talk about someone’s address; use the sentence patterns “What’s your 
address? It’s ..”)
 2. What’re the core values of the lesson? 
 ( show great pride in their address, hometown with positive impacts and 
respect for their address, hometown by using appropriate gestures and intonation in 
communication.
 - Remind students to do exercises in the workbook and to prepare for the 
next lesson (Unit 1, Lesson 2)

 Activity1: Warmer: Greeting and song
 Ask ss to sing the song “ The Wheels on the bus” and act out the actions at 
 the front of the class
 T and others look, listen and give comments 
 Ask ss to play spelling bee game with the words: lane, flat, city, tower, 
 mountain, village and hometown
 T praises and lead ss to new lesson 
 Activity 2: Language input (Act 1: Look, listen and repeat.)
 - Show students the situational pictures and ask the following questions to help 
 them understand the communication situations in each picture.
 - T points to each pictures and elicit their answers to these questions:
 1.Who is this? (Nam and Trung)
 2.Where’s he from? (DaNang)
 3.Does he live in the city? (No)
 4.Where does he live? (in a village in the mountain)
 5. What’s the village like?...(small and quiet)
 - Have students look at the book, listen, and repeat the lines in the pictures twice.
 - Point at the pictures a, b, c, and d respectively to present the story. Explain 
 what each character says. Check comprehension and give constructive feedback.
 - Play Track 5 (Activity 1), point at each speech bubble for Ss to listen and 
 repeat the sentence(s) twice. 
 - Point at each bubble for Ss to read the sentence(s). 
 - Elicit the sentence patterns “What’s the .... like ? It’s ..” from the conversation, 
 explain the meaning and use of the sentence patterns.
 Activity 3: Controlled and guided practice. Point and say. - Use 4 pictures in activity 2 on page 8 to elicit what the four places are like. 
Remind ss to pay attention to words: big ,far, large, small, busy, quiet, crowded, 
pretty 
 - Point to the first picture and model the task with one student, using the

 - Elicit the answer from Ss “It’s big and busy.”.

attention to the answers about what’s the ... like? at page 9. 
 - Elicit the answer from given pictures then run through 
 - Play Track 8 for Ss to do the task (listen and circle a or b to complete the 
missing sentences).
 - Get Ss to check their answers with their partners before giving the key.
 - Make some questions to check Ss’ comprehension

 - Have time for ss to practise asking and answering by using questions bove

 Activity 6: Guided practice (Let’s play: Spot the difference) 
 - Present the activity. Ask Ss’ to work in groups .
 - divides into two group then show two pictures on the projector
 - Tell ss that you’re going to spot the difference. You have to compare the two 
pictures and find out the five details which are different. The first ss who find out all 
the different details is winner
Model:
 1. there is one more car in the road
 - Call on one student from each group to report their differences of pictures - Give constructive feedback and comments on the reports and correct Ss’ 
 mistakes if necessary.
