Week 13 Tuesday, December 7th 2021 UNIT 9: WHAT COLOUR IS IT? Lesson 1(1-3) I. Objectives. - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about whether the other speaker has a school thing. - Sentence Patterns: Is this / that your ___? ̶ Yes, it is. / ̶ No, it isn’t. - Vocabulary: desk, pencil sharpener, pen, pencil case 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening and speaking 3. Attitudes/Quality: - Love their school things - To keep their school things clean 4. Forming competence: - Be able identify school things. - Work in pairs II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... III. Preparation. 1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2. Ask Ss to identify the characters in the picture on page 58 and what they are saying. Set the scene “you are going to listen to Mai and Nam talk about school things. Play the recording and asks Ss to listen to the tape twice. T asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus two times. Have whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation. Knowledge: - Pupils can ask and answer questions about the colour(s) of the school thing(s). - Sentence Patterns: What colour is it? / What colour are they? It’s __. / They’re __. - Vocabulary: box, blue, white, yellow, brown, green, orange 2. Skills. - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitudes/Quality: - Love their school - Ss work hard in the lesson. 4. Forming competence: - To know some colours - Active participate in groups, ready to help their friends. II. Methods: - Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present....
