  - to use  past simple  and present perfect tense of verbs   appropriately

- Some common structures with the present perfect, the past simple 
 It is + a period of time + since + Subject + (last) + v (past simple) 
 It is two years since I (last) went to Nha Trang. 
 The last time + s +v (past simple) was + a time mark (in 2008) 
 + when +s+v (past s) 
The last time I went to Nha Trang was 2 years ago. 
The last time I went to Nha Trang was when I was 10 years old. 
 S + v (present perfect) + for + a period of time 
 + since + a time mark 
 + since + subject + verb (past simple)
